Bacon-Wrapped Figs with Goat Cheese and Almonds

18 fresh or dried figs

18 slices of bacon

4 oz goat cheese

18 walnut halves

Remove stems from figs and cut them in half. Slice bacon in two long strips lengthwise. Wrap piece of bacon around each fig, going around twice. Place on backing sheet, cover loosely with foil to stop fat from spraying oven, and cook at 350 F for roughly 15-20 minutes, until bacon is done.

Place bacon figs on paper towels to drain fat. Place a teaspoon of goat cheese on each fig. Break walnut halves into a couple pieces and place a piece on top of each fig.

Serves eight as hors d'oeuvres.
